Sadly, these two projects are coming to an end since it is exhibition week. My project didn't go exactly as planned, but I have learned from my mistakes.
1. Watch out for bugs and animals; especially snails 2. Natural pesticides work so much better and don't smell gross 3. If you don't like to garden, you probably shouldn't do it; it takes a LOT of effort My plants did produce some fruits in the beginning of my project, but due to change in weather and some other factors, most of my plants didn't produce a sufficient amount of food so I won't be able to bring those in for exhibition. Although, I did make a very fun and simple video on how to make your very own Natural Garlic Pesticide! If in the future I ever want to make my own garden again, I will use the knowledge I have gained from these two projects to create a better outcome.

I added a new plant to my garden! Will had a milkweed plant in his room and needed someone to take care of it, so I took it home and planted it next to my vegetable garden. It is supposed to attract butterflies but Will told me to watch out for the caterpillars that will try and eat it.
A lot has been going on with my garden in these two weeks that I have been on break! On the downside, I found out what has been attacking my plants: SNAILS. So I'm going to have to research a recipe for a natural snail repellent so I can spray it onto my plants. I also have had to take out a couple of my tomato plants because they were growing too dense and I didn't have enough room to manage them efficiently.
Since there was a lot of rain this past week, my garden has been doing well! I have so many strawberries growing and I have seen a small difference in my cucumber plant since putting the garlic spray on it. I have ate some of the strawberries from my plant and they taste good and are perfectly ripe. Hopefully my other plants start to produce vegetables soon!
I have made my garlic spray and have sprayed it onto my cucumber plants and am hoping that it works! I took some pictures of that procedure and I plan on making another batch of it and making a video tutorial on how to make the spray as my exhibition portion of my project.
I am back and so many things have happened with my garden! My first RED strawberry has grown out of one of the strawberry plants and there are tiny little green ones on most of the strawberry plants! My tomato leaves have gotten so big that I'm going to have to put up a lattice so that they can grow upwards. On the downside, my cucumber plant has been eaten by pests so I am going to have to make my natural garlic pesticide today to prevent any further damage.
I am going to be out of town for a whole week which means I won't be able to water my plants! I am going to have my friend water them for me until I come back next week and I will see how they do!
There is a flower on every single one of my strawberry plants! They have been growing more and more everyday and so have the rest of the plants. I haven't seen any bugs around my garden so I haven't had to make the pesticide yet. The compost bin is also doing well and I have been noticing it heating up and breaking down the compost. I can't wait until my garden starts to grow all the fruits and vegetables!
This week the very first flower appeared on my strawberry plant! I'm excited to start seeing more and more flowers grow, and then eventually see the fruits and vegetables grow. A couple more flowers started to grow on other strawberry plants, but none on any of the other plants yet.
